All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement provided at the time of booking confirmation or vehicle pickup. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire in Weybridge, drivers must be a minimum of 21 years old, with age restrictions varying based on the vehicle type. A valid, full driving license suitable for the selected category is required, held for the duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Please present valid identification and proof of current address, along with payment information and a security deposit. Additional requirements may be specified in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or at our Weybridge office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are generally required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Weybridge, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be created and both parties will sign it for record-keeping. Please return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged as necessary. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse falls under your responsibility, regardless of insurance status.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies depend on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise details, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses:
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is strictly prohibited. This includes participating in racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar high-risk activities. Transporting hazardous materials or substances is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or using the vehicle for purposes it is not intended for, is unacceptable. Exceeding passenger or weight limits and operating outside designated geographical boundaries without prior consent are also violations of our terms.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Weybridge will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid for your rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. All disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in these regions.
